BUILD Consultation Feb 21 & 28, 2010

The BUILD Development Team has been beavering away with Clifford Patten, our Architect, to refine the proposals for changing and enhancing the premises. These plans have been presented to the Leadership and we would now like to give the opportunity for everyone to view and comment on the revised plans.

Therefore after the morning services on 21st and 28th February 2010, you will find the team in The Stables Lounge, eager to help interpret the proposals and take a note of your views.

If you are unable to make any of these dates but would like to have a look at the plans please contact Jane Brookes in the Church Office (01702 478698)

BUILD Fundraising Newsletter Issue 1 Jan 2010

So the first issue of the BUILD Fundraising newsletter is now out for you all to read and see how you can get involved. There are loads of great ideas and activities that should suit the many types of people who want to get involved. So take a read and get sign-up.

Event: Leigh Road's Got TALENT - Postponed

The Leigh Road's Got TALENT event has been POSTPONED.

This was due to take place on Saturday 21st November.

The new date will hopefully be at the end of February early March 2010. So keep polishing up those acts and skills - the weird the wonderful. Look out for updates and entry forms coming out in the new year. All ages welcome to enter. For more information please speak to Vanessa Glover.

A week of prayer & fasting for LRBC
Monday 16th - Sunday 22 November 2009

Location: Leigh Road Baptist Church, Marguerite Drive, Leigh-on-Sea. The Prayer Corner in the Sanctuary, Please enter via Pall Mall Entrance.

With the exception of Sunday 22nd November, when prayer will take place in The Stables, Chalkwell Park Drive in the Lounge.

The Sanctuary will be open at the following times, please feel to come and go during the time slots or stay for the whole time:
Monday 16/11/09 2.00 – 4.00pm
Tuesday 17/11/09 10.00 – 12 noon
Wednesday 18/11/09 12 – 2.00 pm
Thursday 19/11/09 6.30 – 8.00pm followed by Church Meeting
Friday 20/11/09 10.00 – 12 noon 7.30 – 10.30pm
Saturday 21/11/09 7.00 – 9.00am

Church Anniversary
Sunday 22/11/09 9.00 – 10.00am (Lounge)

Fundraising Meal Success: Sunflower Eaterie

A big thank you to all who supported the first official BUILD fundraising meal at the Sunflower Eaterie, Queens Road, Southend.

The restaurant was fully booked for LRBC and friends and over £150 was raised on the night towards BUILD.
The food was beautiful and our thanks go to the staff that looked after us so well.
