We’re looking forward to welcoming many visitors to Oasis Coffee House and the Leigh Road Baptist Church Garden on Leigh Lights 2017.
A wonderful occasion when Christmas Starts for many in Leigh-on-Sea.
We’ve been working in conjunction once again the ‘elves’ at Leigh Town Council to bring you ‘Leigh Lights’ on Friday 24th November. The festivities will begin from 5 p.m. and the Town will be lit up as visitors arrive.
The church garden will be lit up by candlelight and a giant Christmas Tree. There will be four kinds of Christmas, but which one are you? Come and along and let us know.
We’ll have free giveaways of Mince Pies, Roast Chestnuts and Hot Mulled Juice. Oasis will also be open with a reduced menu. They’ll be choirs singing outside too!
The Yuletide Parade, featuring joyful fundraisers including Essex Marching Corps, Starlight Productions, Players Theatre Company, Eastwood Lions and Southend RNLI will start from Kings Road at 6.30 p.m., travelling along Leigh Road, Broadway and Broadway West.
The Festive Fairground returns to the car park behind the Grand at one end of the Leigh Road.
Crowds will be entertained by a selection of wonderful local choirs and musical groups such as Funky Voices, Salvation Army and Leigh Orpheus Male Voice Choir, featured throughout the town at Liquid Flair and Oasis Coffee House, 189 Leigh Road and in Elm Road. Love Leigh Road shops and businesses will be organising their own entertainment as well as will others through the town.
Look out for our new parade programme which will feature a map, parade entries, timetables and special offers from traders to add to the nights enjoyment.
