The pressing question.<br \/>\nWhat can halt inborn aggression?<br \/>\nTo end all wars and retribution &#8211;<br \/>\nwar itself is no solution.<\/p>\n<p>Can terror end all terror now?<br \/>\nBrute force subdue itself and bow?<br \/>\nCan darkness drive out darkened dread?<br \/>\nOr death extinguish death instead?<\/p>\n<p>We need to interrupt the spiral.<br \/>\nA healing antiretroviral.<br \/>\nThe story&#8217;s told of an Anti-Zeus &#8211;<br \/>\nA God of Peace turned Human Truce.<br \/>\nInto our world, into our midst &#8211;<br \/>\na walking, talking armistice.<\/p>\n<p>A King made meek, a power made weak,<br \/>\nto stand and turn the other cheek,<br \/>\nto take the blow, absorb disgrace,<br \/>\nand rise to give again His face.<br \/>\nIn grace undimmed and arms unfurled,<br \/>\nto bless and pacify the world&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;and you &#8211; to sweet surrender brought,<br \/>\nforgiveness for your battles fought,<br \/>\na peace to pass to every soul,<br \/>\nthen warfare ceased from pole to pole.<\/p>\n<p>by Glen Scrivener<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If I should die think only this &#8230; A bullet flew by that did not miss&#8230; What story of the war is told?
