Firstly a devotional meeting but for any men or women  of any age who want to come and share friendship, a chance to chat and make friends over a cup of tea. Attendance range from 30-50 not all from LRBC.

Wednesday Morning from 10.30am-noon

Bright Sparks is a toddler group, meeting once a week with facilities for children to play safely and parents/carers to relax with each other and chat over a cup of tea or coffee.

Coming up

Harvest Experience - a fun, interactive, harvest-themed event for all ages

Sunday 16 September 2018 - 10:30am to 12:00 noon

You are invited to a fun, interactive, harvest-themed event for all ages. Together we will explore the good gifts of creation through craft, cooking, games, songs and (most importantly) food!

The Harvest Experience will last one hour and will have activities for pre-schoolers through to pensioners. It will be followed by a bring and share lunch, so If you are able, please bring some food to share on the day, along with a gift of non-perishable food to donate to the Southend Foodbank.

CAP Money Course

Wednesday 19th September, 26th September and 23rd October 2018 - 7:30pm to 9:00pm

CAP Money is a simple, yet highly effective money management course that teaches people budgeting skills and a cash-based system that really works. This course will help anyone to get more in control of their finances, so they can save, give and prevent debt.

Leigh Road Baptist Church has partnered with Christians Against Poverty UK to offer CAP Money courses in our community. The service we offer is completely free.

Wellbeing Fair

Following the success of last year’s wellbeing fair, once again we will be offering a range of stalls promoting different ways of improving physical and mental wellbeing. Whether life is a struggle or pretty good right now, we all need to maintain good physical and mental wellbeing. Come along and find out how you could be kinder to yourself.

Come along and sample our new Saturday menu of light lunches and snacks as well as all your favourite Oasis coffees, teas and milkshakes.

Life And Soul Course

Wednesday evenings from 3rd October 2018 - 8:00pm to 9:30pm

Six weeks exploring the spiritual side to life.

Life and Soul explores the kinds of questions we all ask at times, such as "What's life all about?" and "Is there anybody out there?" and asks what the Christian faith has to say in response. Gatherings are fun and interactive, with barista coffee and cake, talks, activities and discussion and all views are welcome. Whether you consider yourself an atheist, agnostic, spiritual but not religious, a Christian believer or not sure, you would be very welcome.
