Relax with good food and excellent coffee
Oasis is owned and managed by Leigh Road Baptist Church (LRBC)for the community of Leigh-on-Sea and its visitors. We invite you to visit us and sample our good food and drink, and the welcoming friendly atmosphere.
We have a full menu catering from light snacks to hearty meals, and of course we serve freshly brewed Fairtrade coffees and teas as well as a selection of other drinks.
Choose to relax with your children in the family room, out front on the patio or in the main café.
This is a great little place to come if you have children with you. It has a separate (very large) room for people with children full of toys. There's lots of room for your kids to play and because you can close the doors, you don't feel that you are disturbing the other guests! They have a childrens menu - the usual! - plus sandwiches and my kids enjoy going here. Jennifer Westcliff
Vision
For over 100 years LRBC as sought to provide a welcome to those who live in the vicinity, and we trust that Oasis, too, will prove to be a centre of refreshment. We live in a world of pressure, whether we are young or old, and therefore we have created a haven - an Oasis - where we hope that you will be able to relax and enjoy fellowship with your friends.
Staff
The Coffee House is run by Christians who have found Jesus to be a living person and a real friend. No-one will pressure you at all, but if you wish to explore the spiritual side further, why not come to church?
A Little History
For most of the century , the coffee house building housed an ironmongery business which at one stage was owned by William Kemp. Not only was he well known in the community of Leigh-on-Sea but he was also a member of LRBC the church that now owns the property
