Relax with good food and excellent coffee
The Oasis Coffee House is owned and managed by Leigh Road Baptist Church for the community of Leigh on Sea and its visitors. We invite you to sample our good food and drink and enjoy the welcoming, friendly atmosphere.
Make yourself at home in one of our two seating areas – the dining room or the coffee lounge.
The Dining Room
The dining room offers a range of hearty breakfast and lunch options, with all items available all day. Our brunch menu is especially popular and includes eggs benedict and pancakes as well as traditional English breakfast options.
The Coffee Lounge
The coffee lounge is a relaxed seating area for those who wish to enjoy a coffee with one of our indulgent cakes or a light lunch. High quality Fairtrade teas and barista coffees are served in both rooms. High chairs and children’s menus are also available in both rooms and we welcome buggies and wheelchairs.
The mission of Oasis is:
- to serve excellent food and drink in a safe, comfortable space with a commitment to Fairtrade;
- to welcome all generously into an authentic community in which faith in Christ is lived out, where Christ is spoken of, and where all can have the opportunity to meet with the living God.
Oasis’ commitment to Fairtrade and to the suspended meal scheme flows from our faith in Jesus Christ, who was a friend to the poor and marginalised. Whatever your beliefs, however, you are welcome to come, eat and drink.
Suspended coffees and meals
Oasis runs a ‘suspended meal’ scheme whereby customers can purchase a meal or hot drink for someone in need. We also issue vouchers to the Southchurch Foodbank and that we give regularly to 57 West, a local church that gives around 50-80 meals to homeless and vulnerably housed people every week. We currently work with The Storehouse food bank and HARP. We are also a collection point for food donations for HARP.
Toy can now donate a Suspended Meal of Coffee securely online: www.lrbc.org.uk/suspendedmeals
